Data Analyst

Remote / Online Full-Time / Part-Time 0–2 years United States Bonuses

About the role

A remote analyst role for someone who can take a vague question and turn it into a clear, defensible answer. You will work with operational and commercial data, build the reporting that teams rely on week to week, and investigate the anomalies that reporting throws up.

This is a hands-on position rather than a purely strategic one, and it is open to people early in their career. Training is provided on the reporting tools we use, so what matters most is that you are numerate, curious and careful with detail.

Responsibilities

  • Pull together data from spreadsheets and internal systems into clean, usable reports
  • Build and maintain the weekly and monthly reporting packs teams rely on
  • Write short commentary explaining what the numbers show and what changed
  • Investigate data quality issues and trace them back to their source
  • Turn business questions into a simple analysis plan and deliver against it
  • Present findings clearly to people who are not analysts

Requirements

  • Zero to two years of experience — recent graduates and career changers welcome
  • Confident spreadsheet skills, including sorting, filtering and formulas
  • Comfortable working with numbers and spotting when something looks wrong
  • Ability to explain what you found in plain language
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work
  • Willingness to learn new reporting tools on the job

Skills we look for

  • Accuracy and attention to detail when handling data
  • Clear charts and tables that make a point without explanation
  • Numerical confidence and comfort with uncertainty
  • Written communication and working well with colleagues

Benefits

  • Performance bonuses on top of your hourly rate
  • Choice of full-time or part-time hours
  • Fully remote with flexible hours around core overlap
  • Learning budget for courses and certifications
  • Paid time off, public holidays and sick leave
  • Progression towards senior analyst and analytics lead roles
